Excellence in Philanthropy & Service Award
The Excellence in Philanthropy & Service Award is given to the Fraternity or Sorority that demonstrates the most significant commitment to philanthropy and service throughout the 2014 calendar year.
Nominees organizations must:
- Be in a registered Fraternity or Sorority under the umbrella of Fraternity and Sorority Life.
- Be in good judicial standing with the university.
Please respond to the following prompts in no more than 250 words each. Nominations of more than 250 words will not be considered.
Note: Chapter service hours will be confirmed through Catlife reports.
Question Prompts (minimum 2.5 cumulative GPA to apply):
- Why does this Fraternity or Sorority deserve to win this award?
- What service activities was the nominee organization involved with throughout the last calendar year?
- What philanthropic activities was the nominee organization involved with throughout the last calendar year?
- Total number of service hours and average per member;
- Funds raised during the 2014 calendar year and for which organizations;
- How does the nominee organization inspire others to participate in service and philanthropy?
