The purpose of The Greek Initiative is to outline the expectations of recognized fraternity and sorority organizations at UC Merced. Fraternity & Sorority Life aims to enhance the college experience of its members. This can be achieved by focusing on the four values of Fraternity & Sorority Life at UC Merced: Leadership, Scholarship, Friendship and Service.
The data collected through The Greek Initiative allows the University, specifically Fraternity & Sorority Life, to track the growth and development of fraternities and sororities on campus, their involvement in the community, as well as overall impact as values-based fraternal organizations at UC Merced.
