Panhellenic Sororities (NPC Sororities)
Panhellenic is derived from the Greek word meaning “All Greek” which now is used as a term for the social sorority community. Sororities came to be in the mid 1850’s where women came together to achieve higher education, social, and moral standards. The Panhellenic Branch of sororities is ran by National Panhellenic Council that is, “committed to relationships built on trust through transparency, accountability and mutual respect.” Panhellenic houses social sororities that have representatives from each chapter that meet regularly to promote their specific philanthropy. Through their sisterhood, they discuss issue of concern and interest, and voting on policies and procedures.

The greatest purpose that Cultural Organizations serve is to give a place for minority women in a place we never had before. Many organizations were founded only 30-40 years ago but have created a strong basis for helping women establish themselves in college. We hold a high standard to assure women can excel & be able to do greater things in life, we keep this commitment to push and allow women to thrive for not just four years but for life. We have various factors that make us unique from Line Jackets, Stepping, Strolling, & other unique attributes! NALFO stands for National Association of Latino Fraternal Organizations. NALFO orgs are still multicultural organizations but belong to a umbrella coalition of Latino founded organizations that are to help build and uplift one another.
There are currently two NALFO sororities on campus:
- Kappa Delta Chi Sorority, Inc.
- Lambda Theta Nu Sorority, inc.
We currently have one multicultural sorority outside of our NALFO sororities:
- Sigma Theta Psi Multicultural Sorority, Inc.
